Great Start for Summer Reading

Summer Reading Sign up began today. A total of 59 kids have enrolled in the "Read Around the Year" program and 5 young adults have signed up for "R&R @ Reddick".
Registration continues until June 11th.

If so, stop by the library and checkout our new assortment of gardening materials. These items were purchased by the generous donations made to the Reddick Library in honor of Marjorie Renwick's birthday by her many friends.

Handy Foods Receipts for Reddick Library

Bring in your Handy Foods receipts, drop them in the receipt box at the front counter, and the Reddick Library receives 1% of the total to use towards purchasing materials.

Fri. and Sat. 9am-5pm
Sundays Closed
The Library will be closed in observance of the following holidays:
Memorial Day May 30th
Independence Day July 4th
Labor Day Sep 5th
Regular library hours will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2005

Summer Reading

Registration for the Children's Summer Reading Program is May 31st through June 11. The theme for this years program is "Read Around the Year". This program is for any child age 3 through 6th grade with a Reddick Library card. Prizes, contests, programs, crafts and TONS of FUN!

R & R @ Reddick (Read & Relax) It's easy!
1. Read a book. Any book.
2. Fill out an R & R review slip and drop it off at the Teen Zone.
3. Win cool prizes & party tickets!
* Weekly prize drawings.
* Harry Potter Party. Friday, July 16 9 - 11pm
* R & R Beach Bash. Friday, August 5th, 7 - 9pm

Register at the library between May 31 and June 11. All teens (entering 7th - 12th grade in the fall) who have a Reddick Library card are eligible.

Friday Night at the Movies

The Reddick Library will be showing the movie "Son of the Bride" on June 10, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reddick Library Annex. (Please use the Washington Street Entrance.) Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and donations are welcome. *Please note: Friday Night at the movies is intended for Individuals 18 years of age and over.*

New Books

The library is receiving new books every day...fiction and popular non-fiction. At a patron's request we have ordered two books by the new Pope. Please check the new books list on our web site for details. We are considering a library book discussion group for the fall. Contact Vicky Trupiano if you are interested.

Pizza 'n Popcorn PALS Pretty Popular

Today the Prarie Area Library System (PALS) hosted a fun program for 1st-3rd graders in the Reddick Library Annex title "Pizza 'n Popcorn PALS". Nine children enjoyed stories, crafts, and refreshments.
